The idea is simple: create a beautiful outdoor holiday destination where greater privacy, security, accessibility and space are built into the experience from the very beginning.
Not a conventional campsite with a few additional features added afterwards.

For many people with additional needs — and the families, carers or supporters travelling with them — going away can involve constant planning, watching, worrying and explaining.
Things that most people rarely need to consider can determine whether a holiday feels possible at all.

Wildfields grew from personal experience.
Watching someone you love experience nature with complete wonder makes you realise how powerful the outdoors can be — the space, the freedom and the chance to experience the world differently.
But as additional needs become more complex, traditional camping and holidays can become harder rather than easier.
Instead of switching off, the person supporting someone can spend the entire break thinking about what might happen next.

Wildfields is intended to be different from a large conventional campsite. Each location could contain just a handful of thoughtfully designed private pitches.
Fewer pitches can mean more space, greater privacy, less stimulation and an environment that feels calmer and easier to understand.

Wildfields is a new kind of inclusive holiday destination, created for people who need a little more from the place they stay.
Guests will be able to book their own private, thoughtfully designed outdoor space and enjoy a real break surrounded by nature.
Space isn't
an extra.

the design.
Wildfields is being planned around a simple principle: give every guest more space, more predictability and greater freedom without losing sight of safety.
Instead of fitting as many pitches as possible into a field, the current concept puts private pitches around the edges and keeps a substantial amount of the site open.
Four pitches.
Three acres.
Room to breathe.
The current concept uses approximately three acres of land with four private pitches positioned around the outside of the site.
Rather than filling the remaining land with additional accommodation, the centre remains largely open, giving guests genuine physical distance from neighbouring pitches.
Approximately 360 feet wide by 363 feet deep.
Four individually enclosed holiday spaces.
Large areas of unobstructed grass remain between the pitches.
Significant space between the northern and southern pitch areas.

Distance
Keeping pitches apart can reduce noise, visual stimulation and the feeling of being surrounded by other holidaymakers.
Predictability
Straightforward routes and clear destinations make the site easier to understand and navigate.

Open central areas preserve longer sight lines across the site rather than creating hidden communal routes.
Quiet
Shared facilities can sit away from the sleeping areas, helping keep everyday campsite noise further from the private pitches.

The aim is to give guests a substantial private outdoor environment rather than simply somewhere to place a tent.
The concept includes a bell tent, private seating, outdoor activity areas, sensory planting and games — all within the secure pitch boundary.

The current concept uses a six-foot timber boundary around each pitch to help reduce the risk of wandering.
Sensory planting
Non-toxic tactile and fragrant planting can soften the fence line, provide screening and help create a more natural environment.
Secure pitch entrance
Each pitch has its own gated entrance, allowing the private space to remain enclosed while still providing clear access.
Freedom within boundaries
The intention is not to make the pitch feel restrictive. The boundary is there to make greater freedom possible.

The concept uses straightforward routes between the main site access points, pitches and shared facilities.
6-foot-wide accessible paths
A firm surface could provide enough width for wheelchair users and mobility equipment to pass comfortably.
Predictable navigation
Simple paths with clear destinations reduce unnecessary junctions and make the layout easier to understand.
Clear sight lines
The open arrangement helps maintain visibility across much of the site rather than creating hidden routes.
